Registration
The current 10M connection works normally after the changes, but the extra speed and additional services as well as technical support requires extra subscriptions/registration in the address saunalahti.fi/arabianranta, where you will also find specific t instructions about how to use the connection.
Registration of the 10M default speed connection is without charge. When you register you can order extra speed offers at additional rates, as well as activate the Saunalahti security service.
By subscribers registering, the customer services can be improved. Registration helps Saunalahti’s customer service to identify the faults and correct them where it is needed. A contract between Arabian Service Ltd and Saunalahti means that Saunalahti will be the regional network operator up until February 2014. The Arabianranta regional network has been in operation since 2002. Saunalahti operates an ultra-modern internet regional network, owned by the Arabian Service Ltd. The regional network which was built in the Arabiaranta area of Helsinki uses a fiber-optic link network that uses a data connection network. The regional fiber-optic link network allows for rapid, 100 megabytes connection for each resident. The Connection to the international main network of Saunalahti has been accomplished by double fiber-optics of several gigabytes. This enables more modern service offers for regional customers in addition to internet connections of very high speeds.
The default speed connection (10/10 Mbit/s) belongs to all the residents without any extra charge. It has been assembled, so that it is as reliable as electricity, water, heating and all the other basic services provided by the housing company. The regional network service is of a professional standard with modern surveillances monitoring its systems. The regional network connections are protected by a firewall defense system to ensure maximum performance, but we recommend that you use your own firewall. The network is designed to meet the technical challenges of TV, audio and other services via the Internet. The network structure is prepared to offer opportunities for various operators to bring new services to the area.
